Privacy Policy

The short version

We collect nothing about you. There is no account. The app uses no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and contacts no Hermes Digital server. Your prayer streak, your reminder time, and your purchase status live on your iPhone only.

Who we are

Data we do not collect

We do not collect:

Your name, email address, phone number, or any account information.
Your physical location, GPS, IP address-based location, or coarse region.
Your contacts, photos, calendar, microphone audio, or any other system data.
An identifier for advertisers (IDFA) or any other cross-app identifier.
Analytics events, screen views, session duration, or any behavioural telemetry.
Crash logs containing personal information (the app does not opt into third-party crash reporters).

Data stored on your device only

The app stores the following information locally on your iPhone, using Apple's standard UserDefaults storage. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.

Your selected language and the hour you would like your daily reminder.
Your daily prayer streak, total prayers, and total verses shared.
Your custom prayer intention text, when you write one. It is only used to display the text back to you on the prayer screen of the current session and is replaced the next time you choose an intention.
Whether you have completed the introduction screens.
The day you last opened the app — used to compute your streak.

Purchases

If you choose to buy a Lumen Plus subscription or the lifetime option, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple's StoreKit. We see only an anonymous "this device is entitled to Lumen Plus" flag, used locally to unlock premium features. We never see your payment method, your Apple ID, your name, or your billing address. Apple's privacy policy applies to those transactions.

Notifications

If you turn on the daily reminder, the notification is scheduled on your phone by iOS, not by us. We do not maintain any push-notification server and we cannot send you a notification remotely.

Widgets

The Lumen widget reads the same on-device verse pack the app uses. It does not access the network and does not collect anything.

Children

The app is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any data from children — because we do not collect any data from anyone.

Your rights (GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, and similar)

Because we hold no personal data about you on our servers, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, port, or delete. If you wish to remove what the app stores locally, you can uninstall Lumen, which deletes all of its local data.

Changes to this policy

If anything material changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision. We will not silently begin collecting data.
