The short version

Lumen is provided as is. You can use it freely. If you pay for Lumen Plus, the subscription auto-renews monthly until you cancel, and the lifetime option is a one-time purchase. We can't do magic with your phone — we're just an iPhone app.

Agreement

By installing or using Lumen, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

The app

Lumen is an iPhone devotional app that shows a daily Scripture verse, a written reflection, the Rosary, a saint of the day, and a guided prayer timer. We provide it "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

Lumen Plus

Lumen Plus is an optional in-app purchase that supports the project and unlocks additional features (full verse history, premium share image templates, customizable widget styles, and future content collections).

Monthly subscription — $2.99 per month (or local equivalent), preceded by a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. The subscription renews automatically each month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. The charge appears on your Apple ID account at the time of confirmation. You can manage or cancel the subscription at any time from the App Store on your iPhone (Settings → your name → Subscriptions).
Lifetime — a one-time payment of $14.99 (or local equivalent). No recurring charges. The entitlement is tied to your Apple ID and travels with you across iPhones signed in to the same account.

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refunds are governed entirely by Apple's refund policy.

Scripture and content

The Scripture translations used in the app are in the public domain (the World English Bible in English, João Ferreira de Almeida 1819 in Portuguese, and Reina-Valera 1909 in Spanish, with additional public-domain or original translations for other languages). Written reflections, saint biographies, and Rosary mystery titles are original or based on traditional Catholic devotional texts.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to interfere with its operation, reverse-engineer it for purposes other than interoperability, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hermes Digital is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which Hermes Digital is registered, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
