Terms of Use

Angelus

Effective August 21, 2026

Agreement

These Terms govern your use of Angelus, an iOS app published by Hermes InteligĂȘncia Digital Ltda. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Angelus is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement.

What Angelus is

Angelus offers a daily Gospel passage with a written reflection, the saint of the day, the Rosary, guided prayer, a candle you can light for someone, and a private notebook for your intentions and the graces you receive.

It is a devotional aid for personal prayer. It is not a substitute for the Sacraments, for the liturgy of the Church, or for the guidance of a priest, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official publication of the Catholic Church, the Holy See, or any diocese or religious institute.

Angelus Plus

Some features require Angelus Plus, available as an auto-renewing monthly subscription or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app and on the App Store before you confirm, in your local currency.

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Your content

Anything you write in Angelus — intentions, notes, graces — is yours. It stays on your device and, if you enable backup, in your own private iCloud account. We claim no rights over it and we have no access to it.

Because we cannot access it, we also cannot recover it. Keeping iCloud backup on is the way to protect your notebook against a lost or replaced phone.

Our content

The daily reflections, the app's Scripture translations, its design, artwork and code are original works owned by Hermes InteligĂȘncia Digital Ltda, protected by copyright.

You may share the cards the app generates freely. You may not copy, redistribute or resell the app's content in bulk, or use it to build a competing product.

Images of the saints are works of art in the public domain.

Acceptable use

Disclaimer and liability

Angelus is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived — including, in Brazil, the Código de Defesa do Consumidor.

Changes and termination

We may update these Terms; the current version is always on this page with its effective date. We may discontinue the app, in which case purchased lifetime access simply ends with the app's availability.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Consumers may bring claims in the courts of their own domicile where local law provides that right.
