What it does
When water gets trapped in your iPhone’s speaker grill, sound output gets muffled. Water Eject plays a tuned low-frequency tone (~165 Hz, the same range Apple Watch uses to clear its own speaker after swimming) along with a continuous haptic pulse. The combined vibration is fast enough to physically dislodge water droplets from the speaker grill.
It is not a repair tool — if your phone has severe water damage you should have it serviced. But for water from rain, pools, sweat, or a damp pocket, a 30-second cycle usually clears the speaker.
